Overview
ML CathCAD® V1.40 provides the Catheter Designer the tools to model directly Steerable Catheters designs. The steering wires may be incorporated into the smaller lumens. Steering capability allows the operator directional control at the distal end of the catheter.
- Wires are assumed to be placed at 90 and 270 degrees
- The design tool allows variations in wire placement and wire size to be evaluated
ML CathCAD® computes the catheter rigidities including the wire stiffnesses. The wire effects on tensile, kink radius, and torsional failure modes are ignored.
